Current Strategies For Disadvantaged Students
The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.
The intent of our strategy for Disadvantaged Students is to raise their attainment and progress to the same levels as those of their peers. To do this we have a three tiered implementation approach, in line with some of the best research and guidance available.
Here is our updated and most recent Pupil Premium Strategy reflecting guidance from the DfE.
If you have any questions this link to a Frequently Asked Questions document by the Department for Education is a good starting point.
In addition, the literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives state-funded schools, including special schools and alternative provision settings, additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2). Please find the school's Catch Up Premium plan and review below.
